Uncovering The Truth About Opioid Abuse
Napoli Shkolnik is proud to announce that it has been retained by Nassau County to assist the County in a lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies that aggressively marketed and distributed prescription opiates. The litigation will be spearheaded by ポール・J・ナポリ, サルヴァトーレ・C・バダラ、 と ジョセフ・L・チャッチョ.
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has stated: “Local governments such as the County of Nassau have spent millions of dollars in costs related to opioid addiction and abuse including health care costs, criminal justice and victimization and lost productivity. This litigation seeks restitution from the industry for their aggressive marketing and distribution of opiates.”
Napoli Shkolnik will work with Nassau County to investigate the impact the over-prescription of opiates has had, and continues to have, on the County’s health insurance plan, treatment programs, and more.
“As a Nassau County resident, it’s important that we protect our residents from the opioid epidemic. This is the first of many steps in our fight against the オピオイド流行 and the high costs to our communities,” says Paul Napoli.
