It would be unjust for my client to remain incarcerated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Napoli Shkolnik&#8217;s client, Wayne Martin, recently had his double murder conviction overturned after 11 years in prison. Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Matthew D&#8217;Emic overturned the conviction after the District Attorney&#8217;s Conviction Review Unit reported that they are investigating whether or not trial prosecutor Marc Fliedner had withheld potentially exculpatory evidence. Al menos otras dos personas fueron asesinadas por los hombres identificados como los pistoleros en la tienda de neum\u00e1ticos.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Martin thanked all for their efforts on his behalf and added \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of other people out there who need help.\u201d For now he is looking forward to getting back to his life; he proudly took his daughter to school the other day and called the experience \u201cindescribable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Martin was convicted of double murder in 2005 and was serving a life sentence without the possibility parole; however, allegations of prosecutorial misconduct in his case have led to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/news\/local\/Conviction-Man-Freed-Wayne-Martin-No-Bail-NYC-Brooklyn-389095171.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">overturned conviction<\/a>. \u00a0Martin had been sentenced to life without parole for the fatal shooting of a tire shop owner and an employee in East Flatbush in 2005.
