{"id":6545,"date":"2016-01-11T15:37:55","date_gmt":"2016-01-11T20:37:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10028\/uncategorized\/hunter-shkolnik-quoted-in-the-national-law-journal\/"},"modified":"2016-01-11T15:37:55","modified_gmt":"2016-01-11T20:37:55","slug":"hunter-shkolnik-quoted-in-the-national-law-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/napolilaw.lemonadestand.org\/en\/article\/hunter-shkolnik-quoted-in-the-national-law-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"Hunter Shkolnik Quoted in The National Law Journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Napoli Shkolnik , led by founding partner <a href=\"\/napoli-attorney\/hunter-shkolnik\/\">Hunter Shkolnik<\/a> filed a class action <a href=\"\/practice-areas\/business-litigation\/uber-class-action\/\">lawsuit against UBER<\/a> Technologies Inc. and Raiser LLC alleging UBER withheld tips earned by drivers and incorrectly classified the drivers as independent contractors to avoid reimbursing drivers for costs associated with driving for UBER. \u00a0As per Ms. Bronstad&#8217;s article in The National Law Journal, <strong>Hunter\u00a0has filed nearly half the suits, moved on Dec. 1 to coordinate all the cases into a multidistrict litigation proceeding. The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has scheduled the matter for its Jan. 28 hearing in Fort Myers, Florida.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe felt it was appropriate for those drivers in other states to have the same protections that they\u2019re moving forward in California on,\u201d Shkolnik said.
