{"id":19277,"date":"2025-01-16T16:38:13","date_gmt":"2025-01-16T21:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.napolilaw.com\/?post_type=whitepapers&#038;p=19277"},"modified":"2025-01-16T16:38:14","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T21:38:14","slug":"bloomberg-law-quotes-hunter-shkolnik-on-jj-tac-litigation","status":"publish","type":"whitepapers","link":"https:\/\/napolilaw.lemonadestand.org\/de\/weise-papiere\/bloomberg-law-quotes-hunter-shkolnik-on-jj-tac-litigation\/","title":{"rendered":"Bloomberg Law Quotes Hunter Shkolnik on J&amp;J Tac Litigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brown Rudnick LLP and Paul Hastings LLP can\u2019t represent a talc claimants\u2019 committee for Johnson &amp; Johnson\u2019s bankrupt subsidiary unless they forgo around $5.6 million for services they provided to other creditors, the Justice Department\u2019s bankruptcy unit said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The law firms are owed \u201csignificant sums\u201d for their representation of two other groups as part of previous bankruptcy attempts by J&amp;J units, the US Trustee said in an objection filed Tuesday in US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The debts owed to the law firms give them an adverse interest to the official talc claimant committee in the bankruptcy of J&amp;J\u2019s holding unit Red River Talc LLC, which should disqualify them from representing the committee, the US Trustee said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nsprlaw.com\/en\/attorneys\/hunter-j-shkolnik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">J\u00e4ger J.
