A Michigan federal judge on Monday ordered Loyst Fletcher Jr. of Loyst Fletcher Jr. & Associates to stop "improper" communications pushing Flint, Michigan, residents to opt out of a $641 million settlement related to Flint's lead water crisis.
Hunter Shkolnik of Napoli Shkolnik PLLC, an attorney for the residents, said that at a hearing over the matter, the court found the information Fletcher sent out "contained significant errors."
"The order confirms what we thought: that such communications were improper," Shkolnik told Law360 in an email.
